Sorry guys, this is just some random placeholder text right now… Hey, what do you want, I’m a busy girl!
But I am this very moment out scouring the interweb for the absolutely coolest, most unique gift ideas
for all of your law student and lawyer friends.
So check back soon, because in less time than it takes to explain adverse possession, this page will be
transformed into a treasure-trove of tips that will turn you into a genuine gift-giving goddess (or god, as the case may be).
This page is going to be about funny gag gifts for lawyers, law students, or any one of a legal bend.

Hi, I'm Emily!
Friends have always told me that I give great gifts, so one day I decided to see if I could put that creativity to work helping out other people. This blog combines the two things I know best: my personal interest in gift-giving, and my professional interest in the legal world (as a lawyer and recent law school graduate). I appreciate your comments and feedback!
Hi Emily,
Thanks for the great gift ideas – my fiance and I just finished law school in May, and he just got a great job, so your blog was quite helpful!
Re: Gag gifts…have you ever heard of the monkey scribe voicemail? It’s this awful voice message from one lawyer to another in which the person leaving the message is screaming obscenities and eventually calls the other lawyer a “monkey scribe.” Anyway, someone turned it into a website, and they sell merchandise. Here’s the site:

Many of the items for sale are a bit on the offensive side (i.e. coffee mugs that say “I’m billing you for this” and shirts with jokes about how lawyers are drunks etc.), but I suppose that is the point of a gag gift. By the way, I’m not affiliated with the monkey scribe people, I just thought it was pretty funny.
Thanks again!
Amanda
